Gomez Selected to the D3Baseball 2008 NCAA Div III Preseason Team
|

New York, NY - CCNY’s third baseman Richard Gomez has been selected to the D3Baseball 2008 NCAA Division III Baseball Preseason All-America Second-Team. The Teams were announced on Thursday by the website D3Baseball.com.
Last season, Gomez (New York, NY) received ABCA/Rawlings All-New York Region First Team honors as he finished the season with a batting average of .463 (56-for-121) and was ranked 5th in the nation. He was also ranked 1st in the nation in RBIs with a total of 49. He also led his team with 39 runs scored and 4 home runs in 29 games played.
The 2007 Beavers finished in second place in the City University of New York Athletic Conference with a record 16-13 overall and 11-7 in the Conference.

Kristina Phu Women's Soccer HVWAC Rookie of the Week (10/10/07) For the second straight week and third time this season, Kristina Phu is the HVWAC Rookie of the Week after leading the vastly improved Beavers to their first HVWAC win of the year, a 5-1 win over Medgar Evers on Sunday. Phu also enjoyed solid outings during loses to Mount Saint Mary, Mount Saint Vincent, and NJCU.
