CCNY Men's Lacrosse Club Hosts Alumni Game

New York, NY - The CCNY Men’s Lacrosse Club held their annual Alumni game this past Sunday, May 6, 2007. The game took place at the Herman Goldman Center in the CCNY Campus. More than 30 Lacrosse Alumni came to support this ongoing yearly event.

The Beavers were downed by the alumni, who took the lead in the fourth quarter, winning the game 6-5. For the Beavers William Tucker and Andrew Mineo were selected as the defensive and offensive players of the game. Daniel Jose and Colin Maher were selected for the Alumni as defensive and offensive players, respectively.

The event culminated with a with a plaque presentation in memory of Joel Rosario. Rosario’s brother and sister attended the game in representation of the Rosario family.

CUNYAC Player of the Week (03/19/08)

A preseason All-America selection by D3baseball.com, Gomez hit .370 (10-for-27) in the Beavers' first eight games of the year, smacking three home runs and driving in nine runs (1.13/game). He went 3-for-3 with a homer and two RBI in CCNY's first victory of the season (vs. Maritime, Mar. 11) before going 2-for-4 with two homers and five RBI to keep his team in the contest against Polytechnic (Mar. 13).
