Alabi and Ramirez selected as CUNYAC Second Team All-Stars
The CCNY Men’s Soccer Program received two CUNYAC All-Star selections. Teammates Taiwo Alabi and Sebastian Ramirez (So., Mid., Brooklyn, NY) received CUNYAC Second-Team honors for the Beavers.
Sophomore Goalkeeper, Taiwo Alabi (Nigeria) started in eleven of eighteen games for the Beavers. He made a total of 127 saves during the season allowing only 28 goals out of 282 shots faced. Midfielder, Sebastian Ramirez carried the Beavers in attacks, totaling 36 shots.

Women's Basketball
CCNY (5-2 overall, 0-1 CUNYAC North) won its only game of the week, a 73-64 defeat of Mitchell College, in large part due to the play of this week’s Rookie of the Week, Ashley Straughn. The freshman center recorded game highs with 20 points and 15 rebounds. She added two assists, three steals and one blocked shot in 30 minutes of action. CCNY returns to action in two weeks, when Gallaudet University travels to the Nat Holman Gym on December 29.
