Men’s Soccer Dropped by York in CUNYAC Quarterfinals
New York, NY - The CCNY men’s soccer team allowed only one goal in the Quarterfinal round of the CUNY Athletic Conference as the seventh-seeded Beavers fell 1-0 to No. 2 seed York College Wednesday afternoon in Queens, NY.
The Beavers played a great defensive game allowing York to score their lone goal in the 72nd minute mark.
Sophomore Goal Keeper, Taiwo Alabi (Nigeria) faced a total of 10 shots and made 4 saves for the Beavers.
The Beavers end their 2008 season with an overall record of 4-14 and 3-5 in CUNYAC.

Taiwo Alabi posted a pair of 1-0, 11-save shutouts for CCNY in CUNYAC play last week. Alabi's play as the last line of defense helped the Beavers, winners of three straight, to a pair of 1-0 victories in CUNYAC competition. He made 11 saves in earning his first clean sheet of the season against John Jay (Sept. 17), before matching those totals three days later against Staten Island
