April 15, 2006                 College of New Jersey Invitational

*Rinaldy Alvarez qualified for the ECAC Championships in the Long  Jump where he placed 2nd with a distance of 6.60 meters.

* In the 100 meter dash Orhys Brown finished in 5th place (time: 11.20 secs) out of 20 participants.  In the same event Rinaldy Alvarez finished in 8th pace with a time of 11.34.

* In the 200 meter dash Rinaldy Alvarez placed 8th with a time of 23.02 seconds.  In the same event Hadley Hoyte came in 12th pace by finishing with a time of 23.69 seconds.



April 8, 2006                   Trinity College Invitational

* In the Long Jump Hadley Hoyte placed 6th out of 23 participants with a distance of 5.67 meters.  In the same event Alain Saint Dic placed 9th (5.34 meters).

* Andrew Stahl-David finished 13th out of 43 competitors in the 1,500 meter run.  He finished with a time of 4:30 .70.

* In the 400 meter David Jean-Baptiste finished in 1st place with an ECAC Championship qualifying time of 50.88 secs.

* In the 200 meter dash David Jean-Baptiste also qualified for the ECAC Championships with a time of 22.95 (2nd Place).




April 1, 2006                   University of Maryland Invite

* In the Long jump Rinaldy Alvarez placed 2nd out of 52 participants qualifying for the ECAC Championships with a distance of 6.96 meters.

* The 4X100 Relay Team qualified for the ECAC Championships and finished with a time of 43.86 secs.

*In the 100 meter dash Orhys Brown accomplished a  time of 11.25 (personal best).  His teammate Neville Clarke trailed him with 11.30 secs (personal best).



March 25, 2006               Richard Stockton Invite

*In the Long Jump Alain St. Dic placed 9th, out of 19 competitors, with a distance of 6.02 meters.

*Orhys Brown finished in 3rd place in the 100 meter dash.  He finished with a time of 11.35 secs. In the same event Hadley Hoyte finished in 9th place with a time of 11.80 seconds.

*The 4X100 Relay Team (Gavin Gerald, Orhys Brown, Hadley Hoyte, Rinaldy Alvarez) finished in 2nd place, with a time of 44.41secs, out of 5 teams.

*In the 800 meter Gavin Gerald finished in 2nd place out of 23 participants.  He finished with a time of 2:06.97.

*In the 200 meter dash Rinaldy Alvarez finished in 3rd place with a time of 22.74 secs. In the same event Orhys Brown finished 9th (23.61 secs).



2005

May 19-20              ECAC Championships-Springfield College, MA

* Rinaldy Alvarez participated in the long Jump event and finished in 12th place with a distance of 6.52 meters.  In the same event Carl Sneed finished in 16th place out of 28 with a distance of 6.43 meters. 


May 14-15, 2005     CUNYAC Championships

* In the Long Jump event Rinaldy Alvarez finished in 1st place with a distance of 6.86 meters.


April 23-24, 2005     CTC Championships

* Carl Sneed finished 4th in the Long Jump with an ECAC qualifying distance of 6.45 meters.

* Rinaldy Alvarez placed 8th out of 18 entries in the Long Jump with a distance of 5.97 meters.

* In the 400 meter, Anthony Bratton finished in 11th place with a time of 50.95.

* Keri-Dean Scarlett placed 20th out of 41 entries with a time of 23.45 secs.


April 16, 2005    Coach O Invitational

* Rinaldy Alvarez participated in the Long Jump event and placed 8th out of 25 participants with a distance of 6.31 m.  In the 100 meter dash he placed 24th of 50 entries with a time of 11.79.  With a time of 23.32 in the 200 meter dash Alvarez finished in 14th place out of 55 participants. 

* Carl Sneed placed 4th in the Long jump event with an ECAC qualifying distance of 6.49m.

*The 4X100 relay team comprised of Justin Ngwangwa, Neville Clarke, Rinaldy Alvarez and Anthony Bratton qualified for the ECAC with a time of 44.46 (8th place).

*In the 400 meter Anthony Bratton placed 7th out of 37 entries recording a time of 50.95 (personal best).


April 9, 2005 Trinity Invitational

* Rinaldy Alvarez participated in the long jump event (6.38 m) and finished 3rd out of 16 entries.  In the 100m he finished 6th out of 36 entries with a time of 11.57 secs.

* Carl Sneed entered in the long jump event placing 6th out of 16 participants.

*Keri-Dean Scarlett ran the 400 m finishing 10th out of 30 participants with a time of 52.56 secs.

* Valentine Lyashenko entered the shot put event and placed 8th out of 16 participants ( 11.80 m, personal best)

CUNYAC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week (1/28/2008)

Ward posted back-to-back strong outings in the 400-meter dash last week for the Beavers, at the Great Dane Classic (Jan. 25) and one day later at the Wesleyan Invitational (Jan. 26). In the former meet at Albany, Ward placed 23rd overall in the event, clocking in with a time of 50.93. Less than 24 hours later at Wesleyan, Ward’s time of 52.48 was good for fourth place at the predominantly Division III meet.
