WOMEN’S TENNIS DEFEAT THE COLLEGE OF STATEN ISLAND
MANHATTAN, NY - The Women’s Tennis team finished off the week by defeating The College of Staten Island 8-1 and moved into 5th place in the CUNY Conference. The team was lead by Freshman sensation Nalini Chandebal (Queens, NY) who was undefeated in her two matches on the week and increased her record for the year to 3-0 in (6 Singles) and 2-0 in the (5 Singles). With the victory the teams overall record is (6-4, 3-3 CUNY). The team plays its last two games of the regular season at home on Thursday afternoon (10/14) vs. Yeshiva University at 4:00 pm and Friday afternoon (10/15) vs. Brooklyn College at 3:30 pm. The match versus Brooklyn College could decide the opportunity for a home match during the conference championships.

KristinaPhu Women's Soccer HVWAC Rookie of the Week
For the second time this season, Kristina Phu is the HVWAC Rookie of the Week after leading the vastly improved Beavers to a huge 2-0 win over Medgar Evers on Wednesday. Phu scored a huge insurance goal to seal the victory during the final minutes. After finishing fifth in HVWAC action a year ago, CCNY has managed to compete with the very best the conference has to offer in 2007.
