New York, NY. - The CCNY College men's basketball team (0-15, 0-5 CUNYAC) lost its fifth conference game, 67-58, to the Bearcats of Baruch College (13-3, 5-0) on Wednesday night at the Nat Holman Gymnasium.
Senior guard Andrew Mungin (Bronx, NY) poured in a game-high 18 points for the Beavers on 6-10 shooting including 4-4 from the free throw line. Mungin also grabbed 6 rebounds and added 2 assists. Teammate senior guard, Daniel Colon (New York,NY) tabbed16 points to go with 4 rebounds.
For Baruch Mike Dietz totaled 14 points. While teammates George Kunkel and Steven Bader each tallied 10 points.
The Beavers return to action Saturday at home vs. The College of Staten Island for a 2p.m. tip as the second game of a men's and women's doubleheader.

FLUSHING, N.Y. (Sept. 15, 2008) - The City University of New York Athletic Conference announced its weekly volleyball award winners Monday afternoon, and CCNY junior Floriana Garo was tabbed as Player of the Week after hitting .346 to start the season for the BeaversThe reigning CUNYAC Player of the Year opened up her season in a big way during the Beavers' 2-1 week (2-0 CUNYAC), averaging 3.5 kills, 1.0 aces and 1.7 digs per game while hitting .346 (35-9-75). She opened the year against NCAA participant Montclair State (Sept. 10) with a conference-high 20 kills, 14 digs and three assisted blocks. In Saturday competition against conference foes John Jay and Medgar Evers, Garo combined for 15 kills (.400 hitting pct.) and served up 10 service aces against the latter squad.
