Women's Basketball is set to play in CUNYAC Tournament Quarterfinal Round

Bronx, NY - Seventh-seeded CCNY (13-12, 4-9 CUNYAC) are set to play in the 2009 CUNYAC Women’s Basketball Tournament Quarterfinal round. The Beavers will travel to Staten Island, NY to face the Dolphins. The CUNYAC Championship Tournament features 8 teams vying for the title and the automatic berth into the 2009 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament.
As the hosts of this year’s tournament the Beavers are looking to advance into the semifinal round which takes place on Tuesday, February 24, with two games scheduled for 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. If victorious CCNY will face the winner of the Lehman and hunter contest.
The four quarterfinal games will start as early as noon on Saturday, February 21. The semifinal games will begin at 5:30 p.m. on February 24, while Friday's Championship game, February 27, is set to tipoff at 5:30 p.m.

CUNYAC/Con Edison Senior College Women's Basketball Field Set
The CUNY Athletic Conference/Con Edison Senior College Women’s Basketball Championships are all set. Matchups have been finalized and game times announced.
The top eight teams, based on regular season play, have advanced to the quarterfinal round, which will be played on campus sites on Saturday, February 21st. The matchups are:
#1 Baruch hosts #8 Medgar Evers at 1:00 p.m.
#2 Staten Island hosts #7 CCNY at 2:00 p.m.
#3 Lehman hosts #6 Hunter at 2:00 p.m.
#4 Brooklyn hosts #5 York at 1:00 p.m.
The winners will proceed to the semifinals, which will be played on Tuesday, February 24th at CCNY.
#1/#8 winner will play the #4/#5 winner at 5:30 p.m.
#2/#7 winner will play the #3/#6 winner at 7:30 p.m.
The championship game will be played at CCNY on Friday, February 27 at 5:30 p.m. The men’s championship game will follow the women’s championship game at 7:45 p.m.
