Women’s Tennis Wins, 6-3, over Polytechnic
|
Bronx, NY - Medinah Chin, Nalini Chandebal, Stacey Gabriel, and Josephina Allotey all recorded singles and doubles victories for the Beavers. The Beavers defeated Polytechnic University 6-3.
The Beavers took an early lead of 1-0 in the match as the duo of Chin and Chandebal dropped opponents Mock and Gong, 8-2 in the first round of doubles. At the second doubles slot Gabriel and Allotey earned an 8-3 win, capturing the deciding point.
Chin cruised 6-2, 6-1 at first singles, with Chandebal, Gabriel, and Allotey adding wins at two, three and four, respectively.
The Beavers will return to action on September 18 as they travel to Lehman College to begin conference play. The match is scheduled for 3:30 pm.
