Jodyann Raymond Takes Gold at NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

Senior Track & Field All-American Jodyann Raymond earned her first Individual National Title at the 2008 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The senior dashed her way to the finish line in the 100 meter event taking the gold with a time of 11.84 seconds. In the preliminary heat the Beaver ran 11.86 seconds qualifying her for the final round. With the win Raymond also earns her 8th All-America Selection. In th 200 meter dash Raymond finished in 6th place with time of 25.09 also earning an All-America Title.

Taiwo Alabi posted a pair of 1-0, 11-save shutouts for CCNY in CUNYAC play last week. Alabi's play as the last line of defense helped the Beavers, winners of three straight, to a pair of 1-0 victories in CUNYAC competition. He made 11 saves in earning his first clean sheet of the season against John Jay (Sept. 17), before matching those totals three days later against Staten Island
