Jonathan R. Peters, Ph.D.
Jonathan R. Peters is an assistant professor of finance in the Business Department at The College of Staten Island of The City University of New York. He has previously published in The Journal of Applied Finance, The Journal of Experiential Education and most recently in Transportation Quarterly. He currently conducts research in the areas of regional planning, road and mass transit financing, and corporate performance metrics.
Dr. Peters received an Associate's degree in Civil Engineering Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the College of Staten Island. He received his Masters in Economics from Hunter College and his Ph.D. in Economics from The City University of New York Graduate School in 1992. After graduate school, Dr. Peters joined the technical staff of AT&T Corporation and worked as a lead analyst in the international division for five years. He was a subject matter expert in the area of international forecasting, market analysis, immigration and the foreign born population of the United States.
