Engaging New York

This Center initiative is designed to foster alliances between CCNY, Harlem, and other neighboring communities. Engaging New York focuses the CPC’s policy research and community outreach on issues of urban policy. Within these parameters, the initiative emphasizes policy formation and service delivery in underserved communities. Partnerships with local civic organizations ensure that that the Center's programming, research, and academic activity target genuine community priorities.

New Powell Center programs emphasize harnessing community and college resources to promote the development of at-risk youth and ensure their future. The programs have developed through the Center's work with the Harlem Partnership. Read more
