Center Cosponsors Urban Leadership Conference
Some 200 participants attended the Center’s November 15 conference, “Strengthening Global Cities: An Urban Leadership Forum.” The event was co-sponsored by the Eisenhower Fellowships, a nonprofit organization that engages global emerging leaders. The event brought the Center's scholars and fellows together with more than 50 Eisenhower fellows, mid-career leaders from 13 countries. Highlights included:

Town-Hall Meeting on Urban Challenges and Promises
During the session, which General Powell led, Monique Sulle Bowen and DeShaunta Johnson, doctoral candidates in clinical psychology, fielded questions and reflected on urban challenges and promises. With them on the panel were Eisenhower Fellows Arbind Singh (India), Alicia Guajardo (Mexico), and Don Hobart (USA).
