Founded in 1992 at The City College of New York, the Dominican Studies Institute of the City University of New York is the first and only university-based research institute in the United States devoted to the study of people of Dominican descent.

BLOGS

In 2010, the Institute created a blog presence on the Web with two blogs devoted to general information. Our plans are to create experts' blogs for disseminating academic expertise in the field of Dominican Studies. The experts will be selected from among the growing number of Dominicanists, established and younger scholars who are building multidisciplinary knowledge about people of Dominican descent in the United States.
