This is an audio recording featuring the voice of Dominican poet Pedro Mir reading the famous poem “Contracanto a Walt Whitman (canto a nosotrosmismos)” [Countersong to Walt Whitman: Song of Ourselves]. This poem was published in Guatemala in 1952 and is considered to be one of his most accomplished works.
