Eduarda Rosario, a native of the Dominican Republic, is pursuing a double major in pre-law and Italian language and literature at City College. She has participated in two environmental research projects, one with the Earthwatch Institute in the rainforests of Costa Rica, and another with the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center in the deciduous forests of Edgewater, Maryland. These opportunites to work alongside ecologists, plant physiologists, and others to determine the impact of climate change on these ecosystems and ways to accelerate the worldwide adoption of low-carbon policies awakened Eduarda’s interest in environmental law. In addition to creating awareness around environmental questions, Eduarda is interested in immigration issues and has worked with CUNY Citizenship Now! to help individuals obtain United States citizenship. Ultimately, she hopes to obtain a law degree and have a career affecting public policy and making meaningful contributions to the community.
