Owais Naeem was born in Pakistan and immigrated to the United States with his family when he was five years old. He is pursuing a degree in computer engineering at the Grove School of Engineering. After volunteering in a robotics competition to promote science and technology to youths, he became an instructor at RoboMindTech, a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)learning center. He was the first Vice President of the City College Chapter of the National Society of Professional Engineers. Owais plans to become a licensed professional engineer to widen his scope of opportunities and to foster STEM outreach programs. He wants to merge his accumulating knowledge of engineering, education, and public policy with his leadership abilities and professional experience to strive for the empowerment of others. Lack of awareness or resources should not keep any child from becoming inspired by their own imagination.
