Salma also has volunteered at the Arab-American Association of New York, where she tutored immigrant students. She has participated in Model United Nation conferences and volunteered at the CCNY health fair. As secretary of the CCNY chapter of Physicians for Human Rights, she works to help publicize important human-rights issues.
