beau lancasterBeau Lancaster is a senior majoring in political science with a minor in history. Born and raised in the South Bronx, Beau has been involved with community activism since the age of 9 through his family's nonprofit organization, Dred Scott Bird Sanctuary. The main mission of the Dred Scott Bird Sanctuary is educating inner city youth about the conservation of green spaces in urban areas. His family's activism inspired in Beau a passion to advocate for people's involvement in community activism. In the spring of 2012, he taught a class of inner city middle school students on civic engagement through the nonprofit organization Generation Citizen. During the summer of 2012, Beau interned at the Partnership for Public Service in Washington D.C. There his portfolio focused exclusively on advising college campuses and the federal government on implementing the new Pathways Program. Beau hopes one day to work in public service.
