Cerere Kihoro, an international student from Nairobi, Kenya, is a political science and economics major in the City College Honors Program.  An avid reader of history, culture, and civilization, Cerere was chair of his high school humanities and debating societies, as well as an active member of the social-welfare society. He is currently a Skadden scholar and a Rosenberg-Humphrey fellow as well as a Dobrich New Americans scholar. Cerere’s interest in the moral and political philosophy of civil government drives his passion to implement those ideals in the modern world. Cerere plans to further his education in public administration as well as to attend law school. He hopes to use the knowledge and experience he gains in the United States to turn those great philosophical ideas into realities through leadership and sound public policy.
