Karla Rodriguez, a native of Catalonia,  is a senior in the CUNY Baccalaureate program. Her concentration is Leadership, which combines political science, law, and business courses. A fellow in the Skadden Arps Honors Program in Legal Studies, Karla is also studying Mandarin Chinese as her sixth language. With her strong background in languages, Karla works as a language tutor and translator. She also has had the good fortune of working as a professional dancer, performing internationally for eight years. The experience, she says, taught her determination, discipline, wisdom and open-mindedness. Karla has a long-standing desire to make a difference in the world. She plans to attend graduate school and hopes to use her growing understanding of policy as a vehicle to create the  change necessary to improve the lives of others.
