Step One: The New Curriculum
The General Education Curriculum is an educational experience shared by all City College students who wish to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree. After completing the General Education Curriculum, you will share with your fellow students distinctive experiences and skills that will help you participate in your advanced studies, and in the world that awaits you.

Important: If you are a BA or BFA student who has begun a degree program on or after Fall 2007, these requirements will not be listed in your DegreeWorks account. Please use the worksheet (Step 4: General Education Checklist) provided on this site instead.

What is a Perspective?
The courses listed in the different Perspectives areas include requirements that will help you develop writing, research, and quantitative skills.
