2012 Commencement - Honors

Academic Honors Reception
May 29, 2012 at 6:00PM
The Quad across from Shepard Hall

All City College undergraduate students graduating with Latin Honors are invited to celebrate their success with College administrators and faculty and family at this reception.  Participants include:
•    Students graduating with Latin Honors (see below)
Cap & gown are not required; students should wear professional attire and Gold Honors Cord.

Students will receive their invitation to the Honors Reception from the Vice President for Student Affairs.  You will also receive three tickets for family or friends.

Latin Honors: Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude and Cum Laude

•    summa cum laude: awarded to students whose average in all subjects
      is at least 3.8
•    magna cum laude: awarded to students whose average in all subjects is at least 3.5
•    cum laude: awarded to students whose average in all subjects is at least 3.2

Latin honors are computed on the basis of all college level work, including work taken at other institutions.  June candidates for graduation are candidates for honors; the determination of these honors is final when all work is completed.  All information about graduation honors is provided by the Registrar; questions concerning graduation honors status and GPA should be addressed to that office.

Master's degree and second-degree students are not eligible for graduation honors.

For further information about the Honors Reception, please contact the Office of Student Life and Leadership Development in room NAC 1/210, call 212.650.6502, or E-mail: ccnyconvocation@ccny.cuny.edu.
