"Moe" as she is known by most
on campus, provides exceptional administrative service to the Division of
Humanities and Arts. She manages
budgets, appointments, reappointments, purchasing, contracts, and "you-name
it", for one of the largest and ever expanding divisions. Her diligence and high caliber work ethic is
notable, but her concern to the lives of all of the faculty, staff, and
students of the division is most admirable.
With a calm efficiency, Phyllis Hubbard makes
the History Department function. When
the department had no independent record of its majors, she created a file
system. Her accomplishments also go beyond her assigned duties. She assists the history club, organizes the
history awards luncheons, and provides friendly advice to our students. Her cheerful and positive attitude inspires
contributions during her 10 years of service as the Assistant Director of the Honors Center
have been critical to the establishment and success of the Honors Center. She takes a hands on approach and thinks
nothing of going to the registrar, bursar, or financial aid offices on behalf
of her students. In everything she does,
her focus remains the basic mission of the college- to nurture the academic and
personal development of its students.
Linde retired at the end of June and we wish her the
best in her new endeavor.
Administrative Assistant in the Facilities Department provides determined and
persistent service to her department and the college community. She is known as the workhorse of
facilities. She is creative, takes
initiative, and works effectively across departments. She has received numerous accolades from
various departments on her superior customer service. The end result of her hard work can be seen
in the overall condition of the campus and the happiness of
Deborah Moore, Academic
Advisor, in the Office of Undergraduate Affairs in the Grove School of
Engineering is known as one of the colleges "secret" resources. Although she is responsible for the
advisement of undergraduate students, her commitment and affability is so well
known that graduate students, faculty, and staff seek out her assistance. Her loyalty and service is never limited to
her job duties as she regularly volunteers to ensure the success of various
student programs, and commencement activities.
