Daphne Chang grew up in Taiwan and moved to New York in 2008 where she attended high school. After graduating, she enrolled in the Macaulay Honors College at CCNY and discovered an interest in biological research. Currently, Daphne is working in Dr. Adrian Rodiguez-Contreras's brain development laboratory, studying ionic channels in the brain. She also participates in a genetics lab at the National University of Taiwan during summer breaks. After earning her bachelor's degree in biology, Daphne plans to pursue a PhD in comparative biology. She wants to be a herpetologist who studies the history, evolutionary relationships, and interactions among different species.
