Position Description and Duties

FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Department of Biology at the City College of New York invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor of Biology. We are searching for a candidate with strong research expertise in cellular or molecular neurobiology, and demonstrated expertise in use of cellular or molecular approaches to address complex issues in the nervous system such as learning or synaptic plasticity. The candidate's research program should complement the current research in molecular neurobiology, systems neurobiology, and behavior. The candidate is expected to have or generate an active research program; senior candidates are expected to have a strong history of research funding from federal agencies. The candidate will also be required to participate in undergraduate and graduate teaching, and in our graduate programs.



Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in a relevant field, postdoctoral experience, and a strong record of publications; senior candidates should have a history of federal funding.
