FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The APA-accredited doctoral program in Clinical Psychology of the City University of New York, located at the City College of New York (CCNY), invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position at any rank to begin September 2013. The CCNY Clinical Psychology program has a longstanding commitment to training professionals who will make clinical, theoretical, and research contributions that address the needs of underserved and minority populations. The program is located in Harlem, and offers a clinic that serves a highly diverse student body as well as the surrounding community. The ideal candidate leads an externally funded research program in pediatric or clinical child psychology with a demonstrated history or interest in interdisciplinary collaboration to complement current departmental areas of research focus, which include Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Substance Use Disorder, and Borderline Personality Disorder. We seek a candidate with a record of clinical scholarship around issues facing minority and underserved populations. Applicants with interests in the roles of cognition, traumatic stress, addiction, or neuroscience in developmental or maternal psychopathology are welcomed.

Qualifications and Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Ph.D. in clinical psychology from an accredited program is required. The successful candidate is expected to maintain an active, externally funded program of research; publish theoretical and empirical research in top-tier journals; be committed to both undergraduate and graduate education; and provide clinical supervision to doctoral students.
