Position Description and Duties Position Description: The Administrative Coordinator/Assistant Coach for Women's Team will take the lead on managing departmental projects related to Athletics and Recreation that are administrative in design. Specifically responsible for providing general administrative support acting as office manager and key support staff for the Department of Athletics and Recreational Sports; and also responsible for assisting an assigned Head Coach in coaching responsibilities. Essential Responsibilities: - Responsible for maintaining all office equipment, assist in the purchase requisition process; payroll and time sheets, filing, mailings and supervises office student staff - Acts as office manager and key support staff for Athletics. Serves as Athletics main office communications coordinator - Assist SWA with maintaining facility practice/game calendars and team travel arrangements - Responsible for overseeing databases; including budget, team rosters and EADA Reports; interface with SWA, Academic Coordinator and Athletic Business Manager - Assists with the execution of special events including, but not limited to Pep Rally, Sports Carnival, Alumni Social, Golf Classic and Sports Camps - Handles follow-up to routine and/or complex correspondence; answers phones and writes and types correspondence - Responsible for planning and arranging logistics, set-up, ordering for special events - Assists Head Coach in assigned coaching duties. - Assumes additional responsibilities assigned by the Athletic Director Qualifications and Requirements A bachelor's degree and a minimum of one (1) year experience in a college athletics as an undergraduate or post-graduate; strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills; editing, proofreading skills and attention to details are required; able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality at all times; ability to effectively interface with alumni, students, faculty, staff, and visitors; thorough knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, etc.) |
