SSA Lecture Series/Bibliographies
Spring 2009

The Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture (SSA), has announced its Spring 2009 Lecture Series. Entitled “Drawing and Architecture” the series consists of six lectures and begins February 19.

The lecturers include architecture critics and planners as well as prominent architects. Lectures are held 6 p.m. Thursdays in Room 95 of Shepard Hall on the City College campus, located at 138th Street and Convent Avenue in Manhattan, and are free and open to the public.

The series is sponsored by F.J. Sciame Construction Co. A list of dates, speakers and their topics follows:

February 26: Lebbeus Woods, “Line Rules”

March 5: Lauretta Vinciarelli,  “Not Architecture but Evidence that It Exists ”

March 19: Michael Webb,  “All About Drawing”

April 2: Karen Bausman, “Paper Assets: Thinking Sculpturally, Drawing Locally”

April 23: Teddy Cruz, “Practices of Encroachment ”
