Lewis Henry Morgan Collection
(Aaron Orange Collection)

Books by and relating to the pioneering ethnologist and anthropologist Lewis Henry Morgan (1818-1881) were donated in 1976 by Aaron M. Orange (Class of 1926). The collection contains over 100 titles.

A list of the items in the collection is shelved in the box of non-book materials. The monographs and other books are in the online library catalog.

See CircumSpice No. 12, n.s. (Summer 1976).

Note that a manuscript letter from Lewis Henry Morgan to Townsend Harris and a copy of Harris' reply forms part of the Letters and Papers Collection of Townsend Harris. See index of correspondents to that collection.
