College Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities:
Under general supervision the college lab technician will perform the following:
· Provide non-teaching assistance in the development, maintenance and support of core electrical engineering laboratory and lecture courses; including technical support in the assessment, purchase and installing/ set up of new equipment and course materials.
· Assist in the maintenance and repair of existing test equipment (power supplies, function generators, etc.) and computerized equipment for an active Electrical Engineering department.
· Support lectures in the form of the set up of equipment displays and demonstration as well as support for research laboratories.
Qualification Requirements:
For appointment as a college laboratory technician, the candidate, in addition to possessing knowledge and skills related to the discipline, shall be a high school graduate possessing one of the following sets of minimum additional qualifications: (a) four (4) years of related work or experience, or (b) an associate degree and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience, or (c) a bachelor’s degree in a closely related field, or (d) an appropriate combination of at least four (4) years of related education and work experience beyond high school.
Salary:$31,014-$46,948 commensurate with qualifications and experience
