    Raboteau's fiction and essays have appeared and been anthologized in The New York Times, The Believer, McSweeney's, The Guardian, Guernica, Oxford American, Best American Short Stories, Best American Nonrequired Reading, Best African American Fiction, Best American Mystery Stories, Transition, Tin House, Callaloo, and elsewhere.  Honors include the American Book Award, a Pushcart Prize, and fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York Foundation for the Arts, MacDowell, the Melon Foundation, and the Bread Loaf Writers Conference.  She is at work on her third book (second novel) entitled Endurance.
