    Soye is a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, Psi Chi National Honor Society in Psychology, the Golden Key National Honor Society, and the City College Alumni Association. He is a past student affiliate of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP), and the American Psychological Association (APA, Division 1-Society of General Psychology).

  • Education

     Soye Zaid-Muhammad graduated Summa Cum Laude from the City College Center for Worker Education (CCNY-CWE) with a B.A. in Liberal Arts and Psychology in 1999. He went on to complete his Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in General Psychology at City College in 2001, and more recently completed his Master of Science and Education (M.S.Ed.) in School Psychology at Pace University. He is currently finishing a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree at Pace University in the School Clinical-Child Psychology Program. He is has completed a Clinical Psychology training rotation at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center, and recently served on a number of NIMH and NCI-sponsored research projects at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

  • Research Interests

     Soye’s clinical interests include personality and IQ assessment, the diagnoses and treatment of nonverbal learning disabilities in school-aged children, and psychological resilience among at-risk youth. His research interests include mental health service needs of families impacted by HIV/AIDS; HIV+ African-American male caregivers’ perceptions and concerns about life events affecting their children; cancer prevention; and cancer survivorship.
