Office Management Certificate Program
 
     The CPS Office Management Certificate Program at City College provides students with the necessary skills to become an excellent supervisor.  This four-course certificate program covers the general functions of a business-office manager with supervisory responsibilities. The program reviews theoretical, practical and legal aspects of managing business and human resources.  It will also explores various methods of strategic analysis, problem-solving, decision-making and statistical reporting.
 
     Our Office Management Program Certificate Program teaches students techniques of effective writing and oral communication, how to coach, motivate and delegate. 
The courses are designed to help you identify and assess strengths and liabilities, internal and external factors that impact a business. Our program explores supervisory
strategies and methods of leadership; dispute and conflict resolution and discusses how to use technology to get more done in less time.
      
 Prerequisites:    High School Diploma or GED.

Theoretical Aspects of Business 
This module will offer a broad overview of the importance of planning strategically for the organization, and learning how to recognize the organizational and operational varieties of office hierarchies, and the many leadership styles.

Practical Aspects of Business 
Building on the previously learned concepts in the Theoretical Aspects of Business course, this module will introduce the students to the practical aspects of business by touching on various aspects of the accounting process, informational systems, and the importance of writing reports for the organizational stakeholders.
