CCNY CENTER FOR WORKER EDUCATION PROFESSOR TO DEPART THIS SUMMER
Start: 05/02/06
End: 05/02/06

NEW YORK, May 1, 2006 — Patai Post-Doc Fellow Lynne Fallwell will be leaving the Center for Worker Education this summer to pursue a tenure-track position in German history at Texas Tech University.

“I want to offer a deep thank you to the staff and students at CWE,” says Fallwell. “This is truly a remarkable place to work and I am proud to have been able to contribute to such a community.”

Fallwell joined CWE in 2003 as a post-doctoral fellow for the Frances S. Patai Program on the Nazi Holocaust. She has taught several courses at The Center including “Nationalism, Imperialism and Racism,” “20th Century Europe,” and is currently teaching “The Nazi Holocaust” this spring. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Fallwell has been instrumental in organizing the Frances S. Patai Fund Lecture Series.

She holds a B.A. in English and History from the University of Calgary, and an MA in History from the University of Sheffield in England. Lynne interrupted her graduate studies to work for the organization Action Reconciliation in the Concentration Camp Memorial in Dachau before returning to school and graduating with a Ph.D. in History from the Pennsylvania State University.

She will be greatly missed. We wish her all the best.
