NEW YORK, November 11, 2005 – The Center for Worker Education (CWE) of City College is pleased to announce the results of the 2005-2006 CWE Student Committee election. CWE students have elected Natalie Lozada (ECE), Elizabeth M. Albury (Liberal Arts), Islam Morsi (Liberal Arts), Carlos Blanco (Liberal Arts) and Lisa Jones (Liberal Arts), to take office effective immediately through June, 31, 2005. “I am excited that the new student committee has taken up the monumental task of resurrecting the voice of students at the Center for Worker Education,” says Warren Orange, Student Government liaison. “Not since 2001 has CWE students been officially represented by a student committee.” The last committee was comprised on Doris Garcia (Class of ’02), Arelis Tejada and Michael Thompson (Class of ’04). "We are excited and honored to have been elected to represent the student body of CWE,” says Jones. “The committee is eager to meet with other students and faculty in order to move forward in our commitment to serve the needs of our fellow students."
