Jean W. Chen
BA Liberal Arts, Class of ‘00
BY ELENA ROMERO
Jean W. Chen, like so many CWE students, was a transfer student looking to earn a degree. At the time, she was an office associate interested in studying public administration and looking to make moves within the company. “The schedule and location is what made me attend CWE,” says Jean, who earned a BA degree with a concentration in public administration. “CWE was a great experience. The staff and professors are the best and you are getting quality for your money. It’s the best deal in New York City.”
Jean has since been promoted three times. She is currently an associate staff analyst for the NYPD. She coordinates promotional and entry uniformed personnel examinations. She serves as a liaison between the agency and the NYC Conflicts of Interest Board. In addition, she oversees civil and uniform managerial evaluations.
Words of advice for potential CWE students, “Ask questions. Be concerned about your own future.”
