April 14th - School of Education Distinguished Speaker Series, Amy Stuart Wells Wednesday, March 24 On Wednesday, April 14th from 5-6:15pm Amy Stuart Wells, Professor of Sociology and Education and Director of the Center for Understanding Race and Education (CURE) at Teachers College, Columbia University will be the inaugural speaker for the School of Education Doyle & Alba Bortner Distinguished Speaker Series in Urban Education. She will be speaking in the Faculty Dining Room about "Metro Migrations, Racial Segregation, and School Boundary Lines: How Separate and Unequal Educational Opportunities Defy Efforts to 'Lift All Boats' via the Standards and Accountability Movement."
A wine and cheese reception will follow.
