* Prerequisites for student teaching include completion of education course work, standardized exams (LAST, ATS-W, and CST), and meeting with science education advisor and field work coordinator early in the semester preceding student teaching.

# Selected in consultation with a program advisor. Courses designated "for middle school teachers" can not count.

^ Science Education Courses are graduate science courses (BIO, CHEM, EAS, PHYS, or SCI) which are specifically intended for teachers. Note that Science Education courses are a subset of Science courses. Ask science education advisor which courses qualify.

+ Education courses required for Initial Certification can not be applied as an elective.
