The City College Honors Program

Requirements
Students in the City College Honors Program complete their general education (core) requirements in honors core courses.  All students entering fall 2007 semester (except B.A. students) in the City College Honors Program take five prescribed core courses. Additional required courses vary depending on the student’s degree objective. For B.A. students enrolling fall 2007 semester or later, the revised core requires completion of the same number of courses, but these courses meet different criteria.  In honors, the courses will remain substantially the same.




Retention Criteria
Retention in the honors program requires full-time status and a cumulative 3.0 G.P.A. Upon successful completion of the honors program, the designation “Liberal Arts Honors” is entered on the student’s transcript.
