Majoring in Ad/PR
The Ad/PR program is a 36 credit major leading to a BA in Communications. Students are encouraged to start taking major classes when they are upper sophomores or first semester juniors and to complete the major in 4 consecutive semesters, culminating in their senior year when students are required to take the Ad/PR Workshop, the capstone course of the major. Courses such as Ad/PR Production, Market Research, and Event Planning are offered variously as electives.
Students who do not maintain at least a 2.5 GPA in the major after completing our introductory classes are either given one semester on probation in the major or are required to select a different major.
