About Carla Cappetti
Carla Cappetti is a professor of English at The City College of New York, CUNY, where she teaches American literature and literary theory. She is the author of Writing Chicago: Modernism, Ethnography, and the Novel (1993) as well as articles on Richard Wright, Zora Neale Hurston, the Federal Writer Project of the WPA, and Natalia Ginzburg, which have been published in Acoma. Rivista Internazionale di Studi Nordamericani, Modern Fiction Studies, Against the Current, European Writers: The Twentieth Century, Rivista di Storia Contemporanea, Lavoro Critico. She is currently writing a book on wild animals in American literature, entitled The Beast in the Garden: Nature and Its Discontents in American Literature.
