About Bettina Lerner
Prof. Lerner’s work focuses on nineteenth-century French literature and culture. She has taught courses on the French novel and poetry, as well as on francophone, hispanophone and anglophone literatures of the Caribbean.  She is co-editor of a special issue of Yale French Studies, “Myth and Modernity” (forthcoming 2007). She is currently working on a book-length study on popular culture in nineteenth-century France.
