The PA Program follows the grading standards used by The City College of New York. Only letter grades are recorded on the transcript.

No. The CCNY/SDSBE Physician Assistant (PA) Program at Harlem Hospital Center provides training to PA students with a focus on primary care medicine. The curriculum is designed to proved exposure across all areas of specialty and subspecialty medicine, making our graduates competitive in the job market.
Can I waive out of or challenge a course?
No. All Students must successfully complete all PREclinical courses in order to be considered for promotion to the clinical phase of the Program.
What makes the preclinical curriculum unique?
The preclinical coursework include active and innovative hands on learning with a wide variety of different laboratory sessions and a well established base of faculty and instructors (supporting more than a 35 year track environments and specialties).
What are some examples of elective rotations offered to students?
Some examples of elective rotations include: Orthopedic Surgery, Trauma, Burn Center, Breast Surgery, Transplant Surgery, Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), Interventional Cardiology and Oncological Surgery.
