About Pyser Edelsack, M.S.W.
Pyser Edelsack has over thirty years experience in medical education. He has been Director of Field Education at Sophie Davis since 1978. Prior to Sophie Davis, from 1974 to 1978, he was Assistant Professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and Field Education Coordinator at the Department of Social Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center.
As Director of Field Education Mr. Edelsack works with community groups, hospitals, community health centers, social service agencies to create field experiences that will prepare medical students to practice community oriented primary health care.
