Dr. Ethan Fried- Sophie Davis Class of 1984 - is a Program Director at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, and Coordinator of the Introduction to Medicine and Physical Diagnosis courses in the 5th year of the Sophie Davis curriculum. Dr. Fried graduated from Sophie Davis, School of Biomedical Education and later went on to Stony Brook University Medical Center School of Medicine.

He completed his residency at SUNY Downstate and advanced training with a fellowship at Cornell (Pulmonary/Critical Care). He was also Elected as a president of APDIM (the Association of Program Directors in Internal Medicine), and has an MS in Clinical Epidemiology from Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Fried has 8 medical publications.
