Omolara Thomas, M.D. is a 2002 Sophie Davis graduate. She was the first recipient of the Lois Pope LIFE Unsung Heroes Scholarship.
Dr. Thomas is a Post Doctoral Clinical Research Fellow in Urban Community Health in the Division of General Pediatrics at Columbia University Medical Center in Washington Heights. She is also an Assistant Attending Pediatrician at Audubon Clinic, a New York Presbyterian/ Columbia University- affiliated clinic in Washington Heights.
Dr. Thomas completed her M.D. degree at New York University School of Medicine. She did her residency in pediatrics in the Boston Combined Residency Program through Harvard Medical School. In 2007, she was named to the Pediatric AIDS Corps of Baylor University School of Medicine and spent one year in Malawi treating HIV+ children.
