Chemistry courses in the summer will run during the Extended Session, June 3, to July 24, 2013, unless otherwise indicated.

How To Register
Web registration for continuing CCNY students begins April 16.
In-person registration dates will be announced.
Visiting CUNY students must file an e-permit to take summer courses at CCNY.
Students from other schools must mail a general application by May 15th, or bring it in during in-person registration. The Office of the Registrar page has more details about the application process.
Come to the Chemistry Department to see an advisor prior to registration. Bring transcripts and syllabi of previous chemistry and math courses for evaluation.
FAQ's
Can I take Organic Chemistry 1 and Organic Lab 1 in the summer?They are both offered, but you can only take Orgo 1 lecture during the summer. Then you'd take Organic Lab I in the Fall semester. At CCNY, you have to take the lecture BEFORE you take the lab.
Can I take General Chemistry 10301 without the lab?No. The lab is a part of the course; it is not offered separately.
CCNY pre-med students are required to take Organic 2. You'd have to check with your home school for a definite answer.
Can I reserve a space in the class?No. Seats are not held. Everyone registers on the date assigned to them by the registrar's office.
Can I take General Chemistry 1 in the first summer session and General Chemistry 2 in the second session?No. You can only take General Chemistry 1 during the summer. It will run the entire 8 weeks.
Do you offer Biochemistry in the summer?No. Biochemistry is offered in the Spring and the Fall.
Do you offer Organic Lab 2?No, not during the summer.
Who is teaching Organic Chemistry 1?Instructors have not been assigned yet. When they are they will be listed on the schedule.
