The Master's Program in International Relations is looking for students with a strong academic interest in international relations and at least some background in Political Science, International Studies, or a related Social Science. Applicants with some personal or professional experience in international affairs (in government, an international organization, or an international non-governmental organization) are particularly encouraged to apply (although this is not a requirement for admission). We also are particularly interested in applicants seeking a career in international affairs.
Requirements for Admission
• An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university anywhere in the world
• A minimum undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 (or its equivalent)
• Three letters of recommendation from undergraduate teachers and/or recent employers. At least two of the letters should be from a college professor.
• A 2-page statement of interest that discusses your reasons for pursuing a graduate education and demonstrates your ability to do so.
• All applicants are required to take the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) exam with results within the last two years.
•Foreign applicants must take the TOEFL exam and receive a minimum score of 90. The exam ranges from 0-120 on the internet-based test (IBT)
Deadlines for Admission
There are two cycles, spring and fall. Applications for Spring admissions are due by November 15. Applications for the Fall will be accepted until April 1, however you may apply for early admission by submitting your application before February 1.
