Financial Aid
The CCNY Financial Aid Office administers all federal and state funds and special funds provided to the College to insure that all qualified students have the opportunity to pursue higher education. Many sources of funding are available, often so that a package of financial resources can be combined to support a student’s education. These sources include scholarships, grants, loans, work opportunities, government benefits and contributions from the student and his or her family. Students are strongly encouraged to get the most recent information on financial aid application procedures, deadline dates, eligibility criteria and other information for the various programs from the Financial Aid Office. Students should also check the Psychology bulletin board for information. Information about selected financial aid opportunities is also available from the Dean of Social Sciences, Room R (NAC) 6/141. Often faculty makes announcements in class about special financial aid programs that are of interest to selected students. A detailed description of the major sources of financial aid is in the section, “Financial Aid” of the most current version of the CUNY/CCNY Undergraduate Programs Bulletin. All students are encouraged to review it carefully and seek further information from the Financial Aid Office.
